"I am writing to thank Dr. Neigel for giving me back my life. A little over a year and a half ago I first visited Dr. Neigel. At that time the results of too much time spent in the sun growing in Miami were very apparent on my face. I couldn't catch sight of myself in a mirror without feeling suddenly exhausted and depressed. I couldn't help but notice the haggard look on my face. It seemed as if overnight my upper eyelids had begun to droop, I had begun to develop "jowls", and had extremely noticeable "bags" under my eyes. The bags under my eyes were so bad that Dr. Neigel at first suspected that I might have a thyroid problem and sent me for a thyroid test. The results came back negative, and Dr. Neigel discussed my options for cosmetic surgery.
Dr. Neigel performed upper and lower blepharoplasties on my eyes and an s-lift on my face. Within a very short period of time afterwards the results were remarkable. I no longer had bags under my eyes, I had eyelids again, and the contours of my cheeks looked much more youthful.
It has been almost two years now since the procedures. I receive compliments several times a week on how youthful I look. One of the best compliments I received was just this last week. Next month I will turn 54 years old, and my 24 year old son who was with me at a store was mistaken for my husband! He has always been careful to avoid the sun, and definitely has a "baby" face. He can't get served in a bar without being proofed. The woman who mistook my son for my husband is a nurse. She expressed such surprise when I laughed and told her that he was in fact my son, that I realized she was being completely sincere. The woman she was with was also a nurse, and I could tell that she too was honestly surprised that I have 24 year old son. They asked me what I eat and told me that I must have amazing genes. I didn't tell them my real secret.
Also, this past weekend while at a Circle K event for my younger son I was introduced to one of his Kiwanis sponsors who remarked when he met me "What are you, like 20?!". I laughed, but at the same time thought of Dr. Neigel and how none of this would have been possible without her.
